| Mia is an energetic and playful girl who entertains all who meet her. It is going to take time to harness her energy but we will have fun trying. She is doing well in the showring with 3 BEST IN SHOW wins. 16/4/2011 - Aged 1 year and 5 days Mia completed her Australian Champion Title with a 25 point Best of Breed and Best In Group. 15/10/2011 - Mia adds another Best In Group to her list of wins. 19/11/2011 - Mia Best In Group at Kyneton. 10/2/2012 - Runner Up In Group at Mt Elephant & Dist KC. 10/6/12 - Intermediate In Show at BCCV Championship Show. 3/8/12 Runner Up In Group at Wagga Wagga ABKC 4/8/12 Best In Group at Wagga Wagga ABKC 19/10/12 Best In Group at Mount Gambier. 24/10/12 Best In Group at Numurkah. 11/8/13 BEST IN SHOW at Murray Valley Kennel Club 22/12/13 BEST IN SHOW at Kilmore Kennel Club 23/2/14 RUNNER UP IN SHOW at Naracoorte Kennel Club 7/3/14 BEST IN SHOW at Tallangatta A&P Society Border Collie National 2014 - Judge Mr John Ritchie (UK) 2nd Place Open Bitch Class Critique: Absolutely no disgrace to stand 2nd in this top quality class and to such a fabulous Border as Anastacia - she gave her a good run for her money and another who just never let up showing and moving so well throughout the hotly contested class - she screams top class and her lovely type drew me to her from the first look around, goodness she is such a lovely bitch, from the tip of her nose to the tip of her lovely long tail - although a different type to 1st and perhaps a bit more of her she still was completely feminine in outlook - helped by her gorgeous and very lovely balanced head, correct stop, perfect ear set and carriage, eye colour ok, lovely reach of neck, correct withers, excellent front angles, good legs and feet, solid mature body of ideal length, superb hind angulation with lovely hocks, perhaps her croup be slightly better moulded, tail carriage and length good, neat hocks, in super coat and tip top condition, she moved so soundly out and back and with a driving side gait covering the ground with such ease, her gait was economical and correct but at times I felt her handler was perhaps getting a tad excited and trying to get her to move too quickly and as a consequence she was over extending behind and starting to lose her topline ever so slightly - when I called her back into challenge for the Res CC again she seemed to over extend behind and the youngster just pipped her for the Res - she is a lovely bitch and checking my notes it says 'Exquisite' again her breeder should be proud to have bred a top class bitch. |
